Xcursi
For Site Owners
How Xcursi can become an embeddable community layer for independent sites and projects.
Bring a real conversation system to your site.
Xcursi lets a site owner add focused discussion to existing pages with a small embed: one host element, one script tag, and an API-backed community layer.
An Xcursi instance can become comments, a member forum, a project backchannel, a support room, or a topic-specific community.
What owners get
- fast threads and replies;
- stars and child stars for structure;
- tags and mentions for discovery;
- private messages and inbox notifications;
- admin and moderator workflows;
- AI-assisted moderation with human reversal;
- a path to Internet Identity sign-in and canister-backed ownership.
Embed status
The API-backed embed exists now. Start with the embed guide for the one-div setup, CSP notes, and operator checklist.
The remaining roadmap item is a direct IC-only embed path that talks to the canister without the proxy API. For now, IC-backed communities should route public reads and embed comments through the configured API/proxy layer.
